By all accounts the Italian Greyhound is a fast, cute and affectionate Toy Group Dog. About 10 to 12 inches tall and weighs about 10 lbs. It is a Lapdog and a hunter. This little one hunts by sight. Don't let go of the leash near parks or you may be looking for your hound for a long while! The Italian Greyhound has been around in History for quite awhile, just check out some major paintings of the Renaissance era and Royal Families in England and Russia. Even in Pompey they found one. Currently the Italian Greyhound is #71 on the 2015 AKC chart and became recognized by the AKC in 1886.
